Construction and Forklift Courses

Workers who use propane on construction sites or in warehouses need to understand the special uses it has there.  

These courses cover proper storage, handling and transportation procedures, as well as the safe operation of propane-fueled equipment. Students can also learn how to inspect and maintain construction heaters as well as how to safely use propane road tankers and kettles.

Connection and Use of Construction Heaters up to 400,000 BTUH

Increase your skills in safely operating propane construction heaters. This course covers the B149.2-05 Propane Storage and Handling Code requirements concerning the handling, storage, transporting and installation of propane cylinders and the safe use and installation of construction heaters and hand held propane torches.  Comes with five free "Important Tips for Using Propane at Construction Sites" pamphlets.  This course is also available in French.

Inspection and Maintenance of Construction Heaters

If you are renting construction heaters, you are responsible for ensuring they are in safe operating condition. This course covers the B149.2-05 Propane Storage and Handling Code requirements concerning the inspection, maintenance, and inspection documentation of propane construction heaters.

Connection and Use of Construction Heaters over 400,000 BTUH

This course is for individuals who are connecting and using construction heaters greater than 400,000 BTUH. Similar to our 400-01 course that deals with construction heaters under 400,000 BTUH, this course provides additional information on propane tanks, vapourizers, piping and regulators used in larger heater applications.

Filling Propane Carburetion Cylinders by Volume

Forklift cylinders are unique and require special filling procedures.  Improve workplace safety by training in safe procedures for the filling of liquid withdrawal propane forklift cylinders using the volume filling method.

Propane Fuelled Hot Tar or Bitumen Roadtankers and Kettles

Propane is an excellent fuel for roadtankers and kettles.  Learn the safety rules and Code requirements for using propane containers to fuel roadtankers and kettles.  Course covers cylinder and tank code requirements, lighting propane burners and torches, and procedures for safe propane use.

Propane Carburetion Cylinder Exchange

If you operate a propane powered off road vehicle such as propane powered forklifts, zambonis and scissor lift units, this course will provide you information necessary to meet the requirements of the B149.2-05 Propane Storage and Handling Code with respect to exchanging liquid withdrawal carburetion propane cylinders used for engine fuel supply. This course is also available in French.
