2009 BC PGAC Seminar and Golf Tournament

Note: The 2010 event will be held at Fort Langley on Tuesday, September 14, 2010!

On Tuesday, August 11, 2009, nearly 40 PGAC members and industry stakeholders attended the British Columbia Provincial Propane Committee’s half-day Seminar and participated in 18 holes of golf at the Fort Langley Golf Course in historic Fort Langley, British Columbia.

The morning seminar was very informative with an update from Wayne Lock of the BC Safety Authority (BCSA), Chris Dodman from Kal-Tire talking about Efficiencies for Your Tires, Grant Bray from AstroVan talking about Tankless Water Heaters, and Warren Evans from Dixie Chopper talking about Propane Powered Lawn Mowers. Kevin O'Donnell, chair of the BC Provincial Propane Committee, opened the event and was the session chair.

Over 40 guests attended the evening dinner, a three course deluxe buffet, where Gary Kent (National Energy Equipment Inc.) was honoured as he retires from the industry.

Everyone had a great time and the weather was perfect, after a few days of pouring rain. This year, we were able to donate $247.50 to the Parkinson Society British Columbia. The money was raised from a 50/50 draw and a ‘Chipping Contest’, which had golfers trying to chip a foam golf ball into target like the Plinko game on the Price is Right. We are already looking forward to next year’s event.”
